Rio de Janeiro · Sightseeing
Rio’s classic view in a morning or an afternoon. Two cable cars take you up: first to Morro da Urca, about 220 metres high, then on to the top of Sugarloaf at about 396 metres.
From the summit you see Guanabara Bay, Copacabana beach, Botafogo and, across the city, Christ the Redeemer on Corcovado. The cable car first opened in 1912.

Cancellation terms for this tour are shown before you pay and in your confirmation. Many tours offer a full refund if you cancel at least 24 hours before the start time.
Allow two to three hours at Sugarloaf, plus travel time from your hotel.
The cable cars are enclosed and the ride is smooth, but the views are high. Most people who are nervous of heights manage fine.
Clear mornings have the best visibility; late afternoon gives sunset views but more people.
